Blairgowrie & East Perthshire Tourist Association Limited (BEPTA Ltd) is a voluntary association of businesses and individuals interested in developing and promoting tourism in Blairgowrie & East Perthshire and surrounding areas. We have over 120 members ranging from accommodation providers to activity specialists, places to eat to retail outlets.
We work closely with several public agencies in the local area including:
- Perth & Kinross Council
- VisitScotland
- Perth & Kinross Countryside Trust
- Glenshee Tourist Association
Membership Benefits:
Marketing & Promotion: Members receive free entry (or entries in relevant sections) on the visiteastperthshire.co.uk website.
Members of BEPTA have access to a range of free and/or low cost marketing and promotional opportunities e.g. attendance/representation at major tourism exhibitions to promote the area.
Members will receive a window sticker to acknowledge their support and offer a welcome to visitors.
Members will receive a CD of local images for use on their own marketing materials.
Networking Opportunities: BEPTA organises a range of networking events throughout the year providing members with the opportunity to meet with, and learn from other tourism businesses in the area. BEPTA also supports events organised by other providers.
Representation & Recognition: BEPTA is recognised by organisations such as Perth & Kinross Council, VisitScotland and Perth and Kintoss Countryside Trust as their lead partner for tourism development and marketing in the East Perthshire area. This puts BEPTA with the platform to seek to influence and develop tourism policy.
Industry News: BEPTA regularly provides news updates and printed newsletters updating the tourism sector on issiues relevant to the tourism sector.
Supporting Tourism Locally: BEPTA organises and financially supports Summer Pipe Band Displays and the annual St Andrew's Day celebrations throughout the area.
BEPTA has also worked with other community organisations through financial support and in the development and promotion of events aimed at attracting visitors to the area such as the Winter Festival, the Glenshee Heather Festival, the Alyth Gala Day and the Coupar Angus Horse Fair.
Participation in major new food tourism initiative: Love to Eat, an exciting new project being delivered by BEPTA. As an Association, we believe in sustainable tourism and this means not just thinking about what the area can offer in terms of quality accommodation. We believe that Love to Eat will offer the opportunity to benefit from the promotion of the best locally sourced food, quality produce and producers, and eating establishments. This project also promises to encourage community involvement, emphasizing food heritage and celebrating the use of local produce and good service.
