Perth

The Fair City of Perth is just a short drive from Blairgowrie and is also easily reached by a frequent bus service.

The history of Perth stretches back 8,000 years. It has been the capital of Scotland and has always been one of the country's most important political, judicial and commercial centres.

42 Scottish kings were crowned on the Stone of Destiny in the grounds of the magnificent Scone Palace, one of the most popular historic houses in the UK. The city also boasts two castles at Huntingtower and Balhousie, which houses the Black Watch Museum.

Perth is a city of gardens that regularly wins Britain in Bloom awards, and the narrow alleys or vennels of the city centre hide a host of art galleries and small speciality shops. Add the attractions of Perth Museum, Perth Concert Hall and some of the finest restaurants in Scotland and you have everything you need for a full day in the Fair City.
